Vicki’s Camp N Country Jam celebrated event supporters (sponsors, vendors and contractors) at their Appreciation BBQ Night. The Appreciation BBQ Night featured lots of games of cornhole, exploration of the festival grounds and, of course, delicious BBQ!
Tourism and Good Times
Vicki’s Camp N Country Jam hopes to bring 1,000 attendees per day to the Redwood Falls area during the July 7-9th, 2022 country music festival. Festival host, Vicki Galstad Friedrichs, shares her passion for bringing people together and has this to say about the festival. “I’ve always had so much fun attending other country music festivals and wanted to bring an experience like this to my hometown. Festivals like this are so much fun and I’m thankful to all our partners for helping to make this happen!”
The festival boasts national artists Josh Turner, Sara Evans, LOCASH, Morgan Evans and Alexandra Kay as well as a number of other local and regional artists. In addition to music entertainment, Vicki’s Camp N Country Jam will have camping, daily activities like a cornhole tournament where the winner will play LOCASH. Other events include country music trivia, ax throwing, rock wall climbing, stein holding contest, putting contest (all with prizes over $100 value), bars, food vendors and more.
Showing off the space
As Vicki’s Camp N Country Jam gears up for the first annual country music festival, it has taken a lot of work to get the space up to the standards of festival host, Vicki Galstad Friedrichs. The festival grounds were not always festival grounds. Vicki’s great grandparents owned the quiet farm until she took possession of the property in 2019.
The Vicki’s Camp N Country Jam crew has made many improvements to the space including increasing the electrical infrastructure, moving buildings, leveling grounds and more.
Pictured above, the Saloon is coming along nicely! It has gone from a dirt floor just a few weeks ago to an actual “Saloon” space that includes two bars, 16’x24’ stage, electric coolers and great ambiance.
