Welcome, VCCJAM Merch Volunteers!
  • Be a friendly face: Welcome attendees and engage with them to create a positive shopping experience.
  • Provide product information: Have a thorough understanding of the merchandise to help customers with their purchase decisions.
  • Offer helpful suggestions: Recommend items or use cross-selling techniques, such as suggesting a hat to go with a t-shirt.
  • Act as a festival guide: Be prepared to answer general questions about the festival, such as providing directions to other attractions.
  • Handle complaints gracefully: If a customer has an issue, remain calm and professional while seeking help from a supervisor if necessary.
  • Follow money-handling protocols: When dealing with cash, it is important to handle it with integrity and follow procedures, such as having two people involved in counting and securely storing money.
  • Process transactions accurately: Use the point-of-sale (POS) system correctly to ensure that all sales are properly recorded.
  • Monitor stock levels: Keep an eye on popular items and sizes, and communicate low stock to your manager.
  • Restock merchandise: Ensure the display is always full and attractive by bringing out fresh stock as needed.
  • Assist with setup and teardown: Help organize and pack up merchandise at the beginning and end of your shift.
  • Keep the booth organized: Maintain a tidy and appealing display to encourage attendees to browse and buy.
  • Tips Provide Meals: Your volunteer efforts are greatly appreciated! All tips will be used to provide meals for our volunteers all weekend long.
  • Please Act Professionally: We expect all volunteers to behave professionally and responsibly.
  • Enjoy the Vibe: We want you to enjoy this unique experience! Your shift area is within the concert zone, so you’ll have a great view of the action.
